We'd like to thank you all for coming out and auditioning for ASU comedy. Unfortunately, we only have so many spaces to fill every semester. We encourage you to audition for ASU comedy in the future if you didn't make the cast this semester. If you would like to stay involved with comedy the best way to do it is attend our shows. Shows are happening every week starting this Thursday, January 24th @ 12:15 pm-1:30 pm with Barren Mind Improv, then Farce Side Comedy Hour takes the stage Friday, January 25th @ 12:40 pm-1:30 pm. Auditions for b0th Farce Side and Barren Mind will be held on Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17. On both days the auditions will last from 4:30 until 8:00, come for as much as you can make. The locations will be COOR 170 for Wednesday and BAC 216 for Thursday.

Farce Side (sketch comedy) meets every week on Monday+Wednesday for writing meetings at 12:40-1:30pm. Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 4:30-8:00pm. Our shows are every Friday at 12:40-1:30pm. If cast you will be required to attend these times.

Barren Mind (improvisational comedy) meets every week on Tuesday at 12:40-1:30pm. Rehearsal takes place every Sunday from 3:00-5:00pm. Our shows are every Thursday at 12:15-1:30pm. If cast you will be required to attend these times.

Directors from both groups will be present throughout the whole audition process. Barren Mind auditions will mostly consist of improvised scenes and games, while Farce Side will mostly consist of performing scenes written by returning cast members. Hope to see you there!

It's the start of another semester and that means ASU Comedy will be holding auditions for both our sketch and improv groups, Farce Side & Barren Mind.

AUDITIONS...

WHEN: August 22nd + 23rd
WHERE: *DIFFERENT ROOMS ON EACH DAY* Navajo 219 (2nd floor of the MU) on August 22nd, and Payne 129 (behind the computer lab on the far west side of the first floor) on August 23rd
TIME: 4:30-8:00 pm

Our best advice for new auditions is to attend both audition dates as we will have a longer opportunity to get to know you. Relax and have a good time; there's no pressure! We look forward to seeing you there and break a leg.

Wow, where to start. First of all, thanks to everyone who came out to see our shows last semester. It's awesome to have such a great supportive audience to perform for, you're what keeps us going. Also big thanks to the folks at The DC Comedy Festival, U of A's S.I.C.K Festival, USC's Fracas! Festival and The Phoenix Improv Festival. You guys put up some great events and they were a blast to play at.

Now onto some more current news. Farce Side is off to New York this weeek to perform at SketchFest NYC! Our show is on Thursday at 8 PM, you can grab some tickets here. In order to help promote this show we recorded a radio sketch, you can check out a podcast of it at The Sound Of Young America.

Also, expect to start seeing a lot of video sketches rolling in throughout the summer. We recorded our first video, Facebook Photo Shoot last week to enter the Youtube Sketchies Contest. Check the video out right here, or head to our new youtube account for video sketches, ASU Comedy Productions

Come out and support Barren Mind take on UofA in a competition style improv night March 9th starting at 7:00 PM. The Battle will be in the Agriculture Building room 250. Free Hats will be given and yes, the show is Free!
